Health - Tropical Bliss Pre-Workout Super Smoothie Recipe

Not all smoothies are created equal. The right combination of fruits and fresh juice can get your blood pumping or help your body with recovery. This mood-enhancing smoothie is one of my favorites in the morning before training, the perfect compliment to your EDM workout mix.

Tropical pineapple, mango, and banana are blended to boost your immune system and your performance. Mango normalizes the level of insulin in the blood making it a great fruit to eat first thing, especially if you tend to feel depleted from low blood sugar when you wake up. Pineapple has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in Vitamin C, excellent for boosting the immunne system. Coconut water is full of electrolytes to keep you hydrated and the banana will prevent muscle cramps and depression.

I like to add in the Vega Vanilla plant based nutritional powder that contains so much more than just protein and keeps my energy up no matter what type of sweat inducing activity I choose.

All that goodness in just one delicious smoothie. Enjoy!

Tropical Bliss Smoothie
½ c frozen pineapple
½ c frozen mango
½ banana
¾ c organic orange juice (not from concentrate)
½ c coconut water
1 scoop Vega Vanilla nutritional powder (optional)

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smoooooooth. If it's too thick just add extra coconut water... boom done, have a great workout.

Fit Tip: It’s best to use organic ingredients whenever possible and I like to buy seasonal fruit at the farmers market and freeze for use all year long.
